Photographed with Contax T2 / Portra 400
I always wanted to shoot at some type of sand dunes ever since Afield Out was created. We finally found the opportunity for our Spring ’20 collection and immediately started brainstorming a gameplan. Every Afield Out shoot requires a lot of preparation because there are so many variables when it comes to shooting outdoors. The biggest obstacle is seeing if our photographers, videographer and models are open to going out on an excursion which usually entails leaving home for several days to hop in a musky minivan, losing sleep, poor eating (sometimes) and long production days. I’ve been fortunate to have some amazing friends who are always down with the cause and models who are up for it as well. Every photoshoot trip is unique which makes it exciting and a fun little adventure. I always tell the guys we’re on a mission to get the content we need but if worse comes to worst and it doesn’t work out at least we had fun attempting to capture the collection outdoors.
